Setting Up an XML Feed

XML feeds are the most efficient way to keep your job inventory in Wonderkind NEXT in sync with your ATS or job board. When a feed syncs, new jobs are added, updated jobs are refreshed, and removed jobs are deactivated automatically.

Prerequisites

You need a publicly accessible XML feed URL from your ATS or job board. The URL must be reachable without authentication.

Adding a new feed

  1. Click Jobs in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the Feeds tab.

  3. Click Add feed.

  4. Paste your Feed URL into the input field.

  5. Give the feed a Name for internal reference.

  6. Set the Sync frequency: Every hour, Every 2 hours, Every 4 hours, Every 6 hours, Every 12 hours, or Every 24 hours.

  7. Click Save.

Wonderkind runs an initial sync immediately after saving.

Field detection

Wonderkind automatically detects the XML structure of your feed and maps standard fields (title, location, description, application URL, etc.) on the first sync. You don't need to configure field mappings manually.

If the auto-detection picks up incorrect mappings, you can trigger a re-detection:

  1. Open the feed detail page.

  2. Click Reanalyze.

  3. Wonderkind re-reads the feed and shows you a preview of the detected fields.

  4. If the preview looks correct, click Apply to update the mappings.

Feed settings

After creation, open a feed's settings by clicking the feed name.

You can update:

  • Feed name: Internal label

  • Sync frequency: How often Wonderkind polls the feed

The Feed URL is displayed as read-only after creation. To change the URL, delete the feed and create a new one.

Triggering a manual sync

  1. Go to Jobs → Feeds.

  2. Find your feed and click ⋯ → Sync now.

Sync progress is visible in the Sync logs tab of the feed detail page.
